Regulatory Announcements
Period End Trading Date
Gresham Computing plc provides the following update to progress in respect of the year ended 31 December 2006.
Financials
We expect to report a small profit in the second half of 2006 and as a result, we expect to report full year results in line with market expectations.
Clareti Cash Reporting Service ("CCRS")
Gresham took on the leading sales and technical support roles for the service on
26 April 2006. Cable & Wireless continue to provide secure hosting and global
telecommunications infrastructure. Through close cooperation with Cable &
Wireless and our joint customers, the major banks, we have been able to effect a
smooth transition of operational responsibilities.
At SIBOS in October we announced that The Bank of New York had agreed to become
a data provider to the service. We now have 22 major banks who have agreed to
provide data to the service; 5 major banks have contracted to receive the
aggregated, normalised data as a streamed feed (the Direct service); 5 major
banks are using the secure web Browser service and a number of global banks are
now involved in live trials and contractual discussions. The increase in the
number of provider banks who are now live on the system to 14 increases the
value of the service to users.
We are currently working with major banks and their corporate customers to offer
intraday/real-time payment information utilising our Clareti range of products
and services. As an example, we signed a new agreement in December to provide a
hosted solution for a major UK bank to provide intraday cash management services
to their corporate customers.
Storage
We successfully launched our new storage product in the second half of 2006 and
secured our first OEM partner and sales. Our Virtual Tape Library solution
(Gresham VTL) was placed second in the world by independent storage analysts.
