OpenVME - DB/FastFilter
DB/Filter is a pre-processor for IDMSX recovery journals that can speed up database recovery times. When used alone it speeds up recovery times when rolling forward by filtering out all redundant information in an IDMSX recovery journal and saving it as a new file.
If you need to run your service 24/7, FastFilter can also reduce the necessity of taking lengthy daily securities, allowing you to give service time back to the user.
When used in conjunction with DB/FastIC and DB/Fastdump, DB/FastFilter allows an integrity check to be performed on a database dump taken while a shared IDMSX service is being updated.
