Support Technical Analyst – Bristol and Southampton
Due to an ever growing client list, we are looking for an experienced Support Technical Analyst to join our team in North Bristol. We have an impressive and growing portfolio of clients and you will have a great deal of influence in future product development, helping us to move forward with an extensive long-term strategy.
You will be part our Support Services team, who provide Global 365/24 support to Gresham’s Real-Time Financial Services products portfolio.
This role will be part of the team servicing the EMEA region and timezone.
We are committed to achieving market leading service that exceed demanding SLA’s and maintain customer relationships.
In addition to the provision of external support services, the role involves liaising with product development and implementation departments to deliver world class levels of service.
The role includes provision of on-call responsibilities, for which payment will be made. In addition you may be required to attend customer sites on an ad-hoc basis, occasionally overseas.
Frequent travel to the UK support HQ in Southampton will also be a requirement 2 days per week is likely.
Skills and experience:
Good working knowledge of Java or a similar high level language and some database experience is essential, as is experience of working with Windows and Linux platforms.
Along with a genuine passion for technology and learning new skills, you will have experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams with financial systems and applications in providing first, second and third line support to end users. You are able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to clearly prioritise issues and allocate time appropriately. Demonstrable experience of market-leading Support Services procedures and practices will be required.
You will be looking to become a technical expert in our software. You will be flexible and be able to demonstrate good logic, clarity of thought and understanding of process. You will be quick to grasp new concepts, with the opportunity to learn something new on the job every day. You will be an excellent communicator and team player, and able to develop strong working relationships with teams, customers and with all levels of management

You will be based primarily at our Development Office which is situated in the beautiful countryside just north of, but within easy reach of the vibrant city of Bristol.
